Welcome to the all new Stoke YL websiteWelcome to the all new Stoke YL website. What is Stoke YL? Stoke YL is part of the National Young Life Campaign, a Christian organisation that seeks to make disciples for our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ from the age of 13 upwards. Anybody from the age 13 upwards is welcome to come along. We meet every week, and every so often have special events. If you want more information then why not email rob@stokeyl.org.uk for more information. Take a look around the site. The events page has got on it what is coming up in the next few weeks, and the resources page contains things that may be useful to you, in either blessing from the ministry that has been heard at house parties, or visual aids that you can use in evangelism. If you are visiting this website, and you have not asked Christ to be your Saviour, then why not scroll down a bit further and have a read. When you have finished on this site, go to the links page to have a look at other related sites The Message we Believe...This is some information that you must read carefully, otherwise if you do not, then you may miss out on the greatest free gift ever. This message is simply this: there is a God who loves you, and a God who died for you. To put it simply, each one of us has done wrong, what the Bible calls sin. For example, the Bible says that we should not tell lies, and yet, if we are honest, each one of us has told lies. The Bible says that one little 'white' lie is enough to bar us from Heaven. Furthermore, one little 'white' lie is enough for us to face the penalty for all sin, which the Bible describes as death. So is there any good news? Well yes. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life" - John 3:16 This may sound complicated, but what it simply means is this: imagine you are in a courtroom faced with a charge to which you have been found guilty, and sentence is to be passed, and someone comes along and offers to take the punishment for you in your place. This is exactly what Jesus Christ did upon the cross nearly 2,000 years ago. The wonderful thing is that if you ask Him to forgive you for the wrong things you have done, He will do, and then you can have everlasting life in Heaven. That means forever. For more information please email us or visit www.tell-me-more.org which can explain the message far better then we can. |
